OVERVIEW
Veeco’s Precision Surface Processing (PSP) division delivers cutting-edge wet processing solutions that enable advanced packaging and next-generation semiconductor manufacturing. As a Product Marketing Engineer, you will be at the center of PSP’s commercial engine—owning configuration accuracy, pricing models, and quote execution for complex capital equipment systems and upgrades. Your work ensures that Veeco wins in competitive bids by balancing technical feasibility with strategic pricing and margin discipline. This is your opportunity to combine technical fluency with business acumen, interact cross-functionally across engineering, operations, and sales leadership, and directly influence revenue capture in a rapidly growing market segment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the generation of accurate, competitive quotations for capital equipment, upgrades, and retrofit solutions—enabling PSP to accelerate deals without compromising technical integrity.
- Maintain and update global pricing frameworks, regional price lists, and margin models that inform strategy and ensure profitable growth across all PSP offerings.
- Validate commercial viability of configurations through close collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service—ensuring proposals reflect current designs and cost structures.
- Administer and continuously refine cost models and BOM data in CPQ tools (ProQuote) and SAP to achieve accuracy, speed, and scalability in quoting processes.
- Partner with Sales on pricing strategy, lead-time alignment, and commercial positioning for strategic accounts; participate in review and approval cycles for high-value proposals.
- Drive data integrity across systems by reconciling cost, pricing, and configuration discrepancies; document and standardize best practices in pricing governance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency, reduce cycle time, and enhance responsiveness to customer requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business, or related) plus 5+ years of relevant experience; Master’s with 3+ years acceptable. Equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Background in semiconductor capital equipment, CPQ systems, and pricing analytics preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (pricing, material master, condition records) and quoting tools such as ProQuote or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical requirements into commercially executable quotations.
- Proficient in cost modeling, pricing strategy, and margin analysis within a capital equipment environment.
- Advanced analytical and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with experience navigating cross-functional alignment across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Operations.
Salary and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $92,687—$135,940, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
