Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor will provide leadership in a fast-paced warehouse environment inclusive of people selection, development and evaluation to ensure efficient operation. Supervise and coordinate the daily transaction processing environment. For this position, direct reports would include regular and temporary warehouse personnel responsible to perform a variety of warehouse responsibilties.
Responsibilities:
- Support the inventory and warehouse policies and procedures currently in place by assisting with meeting KPI’s, backing up other supervisor in area of Receiving, Put-Away, and Shipping.
- Ensure productivity targets are met for all picker personnel.
- Maintain a process to identify issues related to transfer orders (TOs) and receipts after completion.
- Confirm picks are completed and shipped.
- Daily meeting with picking personal on targets and way forward.
- Identify and track all errors in picking and rectification process.
- Maintain floor presence during picking operations daily.
- Reply to email messages timely and effectively.
- Trouble shoot transactions to identify issues coming up during picking.
- Improve current process of sharing information on delivery of WO to factories, sub-contractors.
- Address all shortages and critical parts delivery that arise from daily Gemba.
- Participate in the warehouse 6S – workplace organization initiative to ensure that a safe, clean, and well-organized warehouse environment always exists.
- Be sure to confirm all necessary information of documents is correct to avoid misplacement of material for processing.
- Remain flexible and be available to shift into multiple areas of the operation to provide support when business needs increase.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics Management or other relevant area and a minimum of 5 years of total experience are preferred. A minimum of 3 years of direct supervisory experience in a warehouse environment is required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience providing leadership in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Skilled in computer-based inventory transaction processing systems.
- Demonstrated excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and collaboration skills required.
- Ability to develop functional goals and translate into actionable objectives for team members.
- Experience with SAP required.
- Experience with implementation or use of mobile device managed warehouse management systems preferred.
- Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience highly preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and using RF Scanners preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Salary and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $63,416—$80,327, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
