Overview
Responsibilities
End-to-End Program Ownership
- Own sourcing strategy across the full product lifecycle, from concept through production scale-up
- Shape sourcing decisions that improve cost, manufacturability, and scalability
- Drive key milestones and ensure supply readiness for successful launched
Vertical Product Alignment
- Lead sourcing for Veeco’s product platforms, connecting supply strategy to technology advancement.
- Turn technical requirements into sourcing strategies that accelerate commercialization
- Partner with engineering to unlock better cost, continuity, and manufacturability outcomes
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the sourcing leader across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain
- Bring stakeholders together to navigate trade-offs across cost, schedule, risk, and performance.
- Lead clear, timely decisions that keep critical programs moving forward
Global Supplier Strategy Execution
- Partner with Category Managers to build supplier strategies that support program success
- Drive supplier selection, qualification, and NPI readiness
- Help ensure suppliers deliver on cost, quality, capacity, and schedule expectations
Risk Management & Supply Continuity
- Anticipate and mitigate risks across supply continuity, capacity, lead times, and technical execution
- Build contingency plans, including alternate sourcing and design-change strategies
Operational Excellence
- Lead sourcing deliverables, milestones, and KPIs across multiple strategic programs.
- Advance sourcing tools, processes, and cross-functional ways of working
- Translate sourcing execution into measurable business impact
Executive Communication
- Deliver clear updates on sourcing readiness, risks, and progress to senior leaders.
- Escalate issues with confidence and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field required; MBA preferred
- At least 12 years of overall experience in sourcing, supply chain, program management, or a related field; with at least 5 years of demonstrated success leading strategic sourcing or supply chain execution in complex product development or manufacturing environments
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong command of product development lifecycles, from NPI through high-volume production
- Experience with highly engineered products, such as semiconductor, capital, or aerospace equipment
- Ability to translate technical requirements into sourcing and supplier strategies
- Strong program management, planning, risk management, and cross-functional coordination skills
- Ability to lead multiple programs in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Advanced negotiation and supplier management expertise
- Strong analytical skills, including cost modeling and risk assessment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working across global supply chains and supplier networks
Salary and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $151,787—$192,264, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
