Overview
The Senior Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing, driving and implementing sales programs for all BUs/Products in Australia, Malaysia, India, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, excluding OSATs customer’s accounts. As the primary contact point for sales into the business unit, you will develop and implement customer-focused penetration strategies and action plans. Use your analytical ability to research market trends, market needs, and product requirements. Then transform them into business cases and communicate those into the business unit. You will be involved in business unit product strategy decisions and assist with training courses for sales and customers as needed. You will own the forecast and will help drive our sales channel to overachieve sales targets. In addition, as a secondary role, you will also manage our sales channels in India and be responsible for the selection and performance management of our channel partner communities. This is a significant growth opportunity and a chance to influence the business from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for direct sales to Key Accounts in Southeast Asia accounts as mentioned above and sales via non-direct channels (Channel Partners) in India
- Formulating a plan to increase sales
- Managing India Channel Partners forecasts to exceed corporate targets
- Assessing existing India Chanel Partners network and replacing underperforming distributors
- Identifying and prioritizing emerging territories
- Appointing and training new Channel Partners in virgin territories
- Identifying opinion-leading customers within emerging territories
- Extensive travel throughout the territories
- Meeting and building relationships with customers, either direct, or together with Channel Partners
- Planning and supporting marketing activity (technical workshops, seminars, product demonstrations, etc.)
- Negotiation of technical specifications, quotations, contracts, terms and conditions between Veeco and customers, and Channel Partners
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a science or engineering related field and minimum 8 years’ experience with direct sales and channel management, preferably in Semiconductor Capital Equipment sales. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working experience of direct account sales in Front and Back End Semiconductor, Compound Semiconductor equipment sales
- Working experience of managing export sales via Channel Partners or other non-direct channels
- Experience in vacuum gas delivery systems and process optimization highly valued
- Strong team leadership and communication skills
- Highly self-motivated with a competitive “will to win”
- Ready to travel frequently (minimum 50%)
