Overview:
Veeco is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Supervisor to work with, lead, and mentor a team on the manufacturing floor, provide technical expertise for production tools, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that quality standards, production schedules, and cost targets are met.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Tool Assembly, Setup, and Test efforts to meet monthly/quarterly/annual plans and ensure compliance with the process.
- Supervise Lens assembly and test process to meet monthly/quarterly/annual plans and ensure compliance with the process
- Support 5S and lean manufacturing improvements.
- Ensure that all tool assembly practices are safe and that employees are well-trained to perform their assigned duties. Coordinate with Training to ensure records are kept current.
- Support the development of the organization through training, mentoring, coaching, and leadership development. Evaluate the strengths/weaknesses and act to ensure long-term health, productivity, and a high-performance culture. Create and execute a succession plan.
- Institutionalize continuous improvement through data-driven actions and robust process controls. Ensure closed-loop feedback of out-of-box quality issues to the team and help to develop and implement corrective actions. Support work instruction development and improvement.
- Supervise, organize, and engage tool assembly employees. Provide regular and timely feedback, and document performance reviews.
- Support cross-functional activities for the development and introduction of new products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or a minimum of 3 years of AP experience is preferred.
Direct or indirect people supervisory/leadership experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong Interpersonal and leadership skills
- Experience using ERP systems (like SAP)
- Experience with 5S and/or lean manufacturing
- Skilled with MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary and Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $88,176.00 — $111,689.00, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
