Overview:

The Senior Manager, Engineering Program Management will work on and manage complex wafer processing equipment involving vacuum process equipment technologies used in the manufacturing of semiconductor components. Working with members of the Engineering team you will be responsible for management of day-to-day program tasks and related engineering projects. The Program Manager will work on program planning, updating project task list, monitoring ECO’s to ensure timely releases, monitoring Costed BOM, Scheduling, and Product Life Cycle (PLC) deliverables.  This position will require strong interpersonal and communication skills and coordination with personnel from multiple functional areas, including, Technology, Engineering, Technical Support, Field Service, Operations, and Supply Chain. Will manage team of PM resources.

 

** This is primarily an onsite position**

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the planning and execution of New Product development programs
  • Support project life cycle (PLC) development
  • Manage continuous improvement projects
  • Manage product cost targets and engineering program budgets
  • Coordinate with Technology and Engineering leaders to develop an Engineering resource plan
  • Drive the development, execution, and completion of complex projects
  • Manage a 6–8-person team of Program managers and engineers
  • Act as primary interface to marketing, technical support and field service teams

 

Qualifications:

BS degree in Engineering Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical preferred), with 10+ years of experience managing complex programs which require interaction and cooperation with multiple disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Engineers) is required. Advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience managing an engineering group is also required.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Experience with complex equipment or systems, which include electro-mechanical components (motors, vacuum pumps), robotics, heaters, power supplies, PLC and PC controls and complex instrumentation
  • Previous capital equipment design experience, preferably in the area semiconductor, vacuum equipment, or other similar high tech, large-scale automated equipment
  • Ability to analyze, model and solve interdisciplinary system problems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • AutoCAD, SolidWorks experience preferred
  • SAP or ERP/MRP experience preferred
  • Strong program management and time management skills, together with the ability to multitask at the project and task level
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to adapt to many environments, wear many hats and interact with a diverse group of individuals
  • Strong ability to interface with Marketing. Operations and Executive management
  • Ability to travel 15-20%, US and International

Salary and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $156,000-$198,000, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
