Overview:
This position is based in Plainview, NY, and works closely with the senior manager of corporate payroll. You will learn about auditing employee hours and wages paid using the popular ADP payroll system and gain valuable experience using SAP Time and Attendance (SAP is one of many enterprise-wide systems). You’ll get to apply your education in a real-world environment, working with key payroll and ERP systems and functions while developing your auditing, analytical, and communication skills. Veeco’s U.S. Payroll team is highly skilled and experienced, and this is a chance to learn from the best!
Responsibilities:
- Support payroll auditing using SAP Time and Attendance modules while ensuring compliance with our payroll process policies.
- Assist with requests from internal and external audit teams on ADP payroll processing and results.
- Assist with biweekly ADP payroll processing, including employee profile maintenance, supplemental wage requests, and special projects.
- Create reports, prepare analyses, and report results of various work activities.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with various Veeco colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in an Accounting or Finance program with at least an overall G.P.A. of 3.2 (or equivalent)
- Skilled in MS Word/Excel
- Ability to work 10-20 hours per week while in school and up to 40 hours per week during breaks summer/winter breaks
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- You’ll work mostly in-person in our Plainview, NY office, with occasional remote work opportunities
