Overview:
The Investor Relations Director will report to Veeco's CFO and lead the Investor Relations function by preparing earnings and board related materials as well as leading interactions with the investment community. This individual will have a high level of exposure to the company's executive team and will communicate the company’s strategy, growth opportunities, and business initiatives as well as build a deep understanding of Veeco’s market position, operating initiatives, and financial outlook.
Responsibilities:
- Draft investor messaging including earnings scripts, PowerPoint presentations, press releases and data/information that will be disclosed.
- Lead the planning and coordination of quarterly conference calls with financial analysts and investors.
- Research and prepare pre-meeting materials and agendas prior to investor meetings and road shows.
- Manage IR databases including Nasdaq IR Insight system and FactSet.
- Prepare market and competitive intelligence presentations for senior leadership team.
- Lead the preparation of Question & Answers for the investor community before earnings, conferences, and other material announcements.
- Develop and maintain the Company’s investor relations calendar, as well as coordinate and attend investor conferences, site visits, analyst days, presentations, and non-deal roadshows. Maintain record of meetings and events.
- Work closely with the corporate communications and marketing teams, particularly on the announcement of material news items and press releases.
- Manage the content of the Company’s Investor Relations website and work with marketing communications team to ensure accurate Veeco social media presence.
- Review financial models prepared by sell-side analysts and compare to the company’s internal forecasts while communicating discrepancies to the internal team for review.
- Independently prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis to management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8+ years of experience in Investor Relations and/or sell-side equity research is required. Experience in the tech sector or Semiconductor industry in an in-house IR role is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Expertise in advanced Excel financial modeling skills as well as PowerPoint and Word
- Self-motivated individual able to work independently and as part of a team to effectively complete multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to travel to conferences across the US from time to time and to Veeco’s Plainview, NY, office once/quarter

The expected salary range for this position is $173,392—$219,630, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
