Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Design Engineer is a key member of the Engineering to Order (ETO/CIP) team, working on complex wafer processing equipment involving ion beam etch, ion beam deposition, chemical and physical vapor deposition technologies. This role involves overall system design, vacuum vessel design, ion beam source design, incorporation of OEM components, as well as many other engineering and design areas.



Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineers participate in the delivery of New Product Development (NPD), Engineer-To-Order (ETO), and Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) work for compound semiconductor capital equipment.
This role provides AC/DC design and troubleshooting, motion control and robotics, specification and incorporation of OEM power supplies and controllers, and many other system-level engineering and design areas.


Field Service Engineer

Our Field Service Engineers are responsible for installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting Veeco equipment.
This role requires a knowledge of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, robotics, and computer controls.






Process Development Engineer

The Process Development Engineer is responsible for tool set up and clean up before and after customer process demonstrations, including loading and disposal of chemistry, developing DOE, performing experiments, and summarizing results into a customer-facing report.
Process Development Engineers also lead and manage internal R&D projects and operate the process equipment to promote completion of process demonstrations or experiments.

Manufacturing Technician

The Manufacturing Technician is assigned to a specific tool and works directly with the sub-plumbing and sub-mechanical groups. This role is responsible for building all aspects of production machines, such as mechanical assembly, electrical wiring and plumbing, with the ability to read plumbing and electrical schematics. They also assign resources, maintain build schedules, manage material flow, and address bottlenecks with engineering and other functional groups.

Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing Engineers design, develop, build and ship semiconductor process equipment. This role handles important aspects of manufacturing for both existing products as well as providing support on new product introduction from start to finish. This position ensures the process for equipment assembly and testing is robust, complete, and that customer requirements for quality and on time delivery are achieved.
